Fetch.AI weekly newsletter #007 – Spreading the word

Hello from the Fetch.AI team,

This week we’ve been preparing the test-net for public launch, attending business and technology conferences and further strengthening our team of AI experts.

On Tuesday, our chief executive Humayun Sheikh attended the Deep Tech Summit in Singapore and discussed the potential of blockchain technology in a decentralised digital world.

On Thursday he was back in London for the Economist Innovation Summit. Humayun sat on a panel and urged technological firms to adopt a collaborative, decentralised approach to ensure we successfully optimised the data we generate. You can read more about the panel discussion here. Our chief technology officer Toby Simpson was also there to share ideas and the team held several promising meetings with investors and members of the media.

Recently, Toby spoke to cryptocurrency website How To Token and the subsequent in-depth article was published this week. In the interview, Toby explains how everyone benefits by owning their data and why we have made the concept of useful proof of work a central pillar of our digital world.

On the content front, lead AEA developer and head of community Josh Croft has published the first in a series of blog posts introducing Autonomous Economic Agents. In the article he explains what AEAs are and how they function on our network. Next week we’ll begin to take a look at how AEAs will directly improve our lives.

This week we celebrated six months since we came out of stealth and revealed our project to the world. To mark the occasion, we’ve posted an article highlighting some of the many milestones we have passed so far.

Finally, we were pleased to welcome another member to our brilliant software team. Machine learning specialist Khan Baykaner has joined us as a senior software engineer and will be focussing his efforts on connecting our distributed ledger and machine learning applications to improve network optimisation.

If you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to sign up to the whitelisting process and remember that to participate on the test-net you will need to be a member of the community. Please sign up

We hope you have a great weekend.
