Fetch.AI weekly newsletter #012 – A trip to Brussels

Hello from the team at Fetch.AI,

This week we’ve chatted to The Bitcoin Podcast about our ambitions, recruited a new member of staff and travelled to Belgium to talk about our innovative technology.

Work continues in the office developing our virtual machine, Useful Proof of Work concept and our test-net. However, on Wednesday CTO Toby Simpson, Senior Programme Manager Maria Minaricova and AI and Machine Learning Lead Richard Dearden took the opportunity to see the Head of Unit, Digital Innovation and Blockchain at the European Commission. We had an interesting meeting discussing the potential of our technology with Peteris Zilgalvis and continued the discussion afterwards with representatives at the Next Generation Internet Unit.

We’ll be back in mainland Europe next month for our meetup in Berlin and we will be following this up with another meetup a week later in London:

Berlin

14 November 18:00-20:30
It’s not artificial, it’s digital intelligence!
We Work Atrium Tower, Eichhornstraße 3 Berlin 10785

Join us to learn about:

• New approaches to artificial intelligence and machine learning
• How these approaches deliver value to everyone on the Fetch network
• How a range of industries are benefitting from autonomous agents

London

20 November 18:00-20:30
A digital world for autonomous agents
WeWork Aldwych House, London WC2B 4HN

• What we think the world will look like once blockchain and AI become mainstream
• The technology we are using to develop tomorrow’s economy
• New Fetch partnerships that utilise this innovative technology

You will be able to meet members of the team at both events. In the meantime, we encourage you to listen to a newly recorded interview with our chief technology officer on The Bitcoin Podcast.

Last but not least, this week we recruited HR Specialist Lisa Condon to join us as a human resources generalist. Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked for retail company River Island and latterly for Nokia Technologies.

The whitelist remains open and we continue to make major steps forward. You can keep up to date with all of our latest news by following us on Telegram, TwitterDiscordReddit and LinkedIn

Have a great weekend.
