Fetch.AI weekly newsletter #024 – Are you ready?

Hello from everyone at Fetch.AI,

If it hasn’t already been marked in your calendar for weeks, Monday 25 February is the date of our token sale on Binance Launchpad.

Remember, if you would like to participate in the sale, please create an account on the Binance website and complete the KYC verification checks. You can find out all of the latest details by going to our project page on the Binance Launchpad website.

It is important to remain vigilant to protect yourself from fraudsters. You can learn more about how to do this by reading our updated blog post about security.

As we approach the sale, you will notice we have attracted a growing amount of media coverage. Over the past week, we have featured in two articles in Forbes alone:

Fetch.AI And Binance’s Ambition In The Crypto World

BMW Opens Its Doors for Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative’s First European Colloquium

In addition, CTO Toby Simpson gave an in depth interview to respected YouTube influencer Blockchain Brad about how we are creating a fully decentralised, scalable digital world. You can watch the discussion here:

This week, the team have written three articles about the Fetch.AI network:

The first in a series of posts benchmarking the capability of the Fetch.AI ledger

Explaining FET (the Fetch.AI token) with five simple examples

CTO Toby Simpson takes a look at how Fetch.AI agents would improve the travel industry

As ever, we are keen to ensure the community is kept up to date with our progress. With this in mind, we have opened up our private repository on GitHub, which includes 980 commits, and we have updated our Technical Introduction whitepaper.

To help new members of the community understand more about Fetch.AI, we have recorded videos with the co-founders. The first features CEO Humayun Sheikh alongside Toby, giving an overview of Fetch.AI and our plans for the months ahead. You can view the video by clicking on the image below:

On Thursday, we held a live Twitter AMA, where Humayun and Toby were joined by fellow co-founder and CSO Thomas Hain. So far more than 16,000 people have watched the team respond to the live questions. You can see the video yourself by clicking on the picture below:

As you can tell, there’s a growing momentum behind Fetch.AI. This week we passed 10,000 members on both our English Telegram channel and our Chinese Telegram channel, while the number of Twitter followers of the @fetch_ai account has now grown to more than 4,000 people. It’s wonderful to see so many individuals joining our community.

There’s one final date for your diaries. On 9 and 10 March, the Cambridge Bradfield Hackathon will be taking place over 24 hours. The challenge is to build a distributed ledger technology (DLT) application to solve a real-world problem. Cash prizes worth £10,000 up for grabs and our CTO will be on the judging panel. If you would like to participate in the competition, please visit https://cbhack.io/.
