We're thrilled to announce two new features to Agentverse, our virtual hub for getting started with automated agent technology. The updates expand the functionality of managed agents to enable interaction with external APIs and AI models. These features are designed to empower developers with the tools to build secure and scalable automation in any context. New to Agentverse? See our intro here.
Firstly, managed agents in Agentverse can now use the requests and json packages, which are essential for interacting with various APIs. With this new feature, developers can now easily create agents that can interact with any API, giving them even more flexibility and power in creating innovative solutions.
Secondly, managed agents in Agentverse can now interact with microagents connected to the mailbox and hosted locally. This feature opens up a whole new world of possibilities for developers who can now create agents that can communicate with other agents running on different platforms. This feature makes it possible to create multi-agent systems.
To showcase these new features, we have added two new use case demos to Agentverse. The first demo is an agent that periodically requests the latest value of Bitcoin from an API. This agent demonstrates how to use the new requests and json packages to interact with APIs. The second demo is an agent that makes a request to an AI model and receives a response in a machine-readable (JSON) format. This agent showcases how to interface with AI models using the new features in Agentverse.
We are confident that these new features will further enhance the power and flexibility of managed agents in Agentverse. We look forward to seeing the innovative solutions that developers will create using these features. As always, we welcome feedback from the community, and we are committed to continuously improving Agentverse to make it the best platform for creating intelligent agents. Be among the first to explore our latest features and begin creating your agents.
