We're delighted to announce the launch of Round 4 of the Fetch.ai Foundation Delegations. This round denotes a crucial advancement - highlighting our commitment to fostering a more inclusive and equitable ecosystem.
In our quest to foster a fair ecosystem, we've introduced an advanced delegation distribution mechanism. Leveraged through a sophisticated algorithm, this approach ensures a more balanced and fair allocation of delegations among eligible validators. By assigning weights to various contributions, we aim to minimize bias and recognize the diverse efforts of our validators. This round is distinguished by its broader distribution of delegations, reaching a wider array of validators than ever before.
Moving forward, validators will be required to submit a formal application to be considered for delegations. This process will allow us to closely evaluate each validator's contributions to the Fetch.ai community across multiple dimensions, including governance participation, network support activities, and community engagement.
Key criteria for application include:
Active Governance Participation: Validators must have participated in 2/3rds of governance proposals during their time on-chain.
Commission Rates: Set between 5% to 10%, maintaining a balance between validator incentives and network health.
Operational Integrity: Validators should not have been jailed for more than 48 hours.
GitHub Contributions: Active contributions to the Fetch.ai GitHub repositories.
Network Support: Running a relayer for the Fetch.ai Network is crucial for robust connectivity.
Community Engagement: Promoting Fetch.ai through personal/company channels and social media platforms.
Content Creation: Generating unique content (articles, blogs, graphics, etc.) and promoting it across channels.
Developing on Agentverse: Deploying AI Agents on the Agentverse or creating services or marketplaces.
Technical Contributions: Contributing to AI Agent integrations for DeltaV/uAgent GitHub.
Application Development: Building applications on the Fetch.ai Network to drive ecosystem growth.
Governance Participation: Playing an active role in governance community activities.
Ecosystem Investment: Investing in or contributing to the Fetch.ai Network ecosystem.
Community Activity: Maintaining consistent activity within the community.
These criteria are not merely checkboxes but represent a holistic approach to assessing the contributions of each validator to the Fetch.ai ecosystem. Our goal with these advancements is to streamline the delegation process and establish a regular cadence for future rounds.
We are excited to see the continued growth and development of the Fetch.ai network, powered by the dedication and innovation of our validator community. Here's to a future where every quarter brings us closer to our shared vision of a decentralized ecosystem.
