Cambridge, March 2025 - Fetch.ai, a global leader in agent-based artificial intelligence, is proud to announce the launch of three cutting-edge Innovation Labs in partnership with three of India's most prestigious engineering institutions: Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and Indian Institute of Technology Mandi.
This partnership marks a major leap forward in deep tech collaboration between academia and industry, to drive innovation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, multi-agent systems, blockchain, and autonomous economic frameworks. These labs will serve as high-impact research and development centers, equipping students and researchers with access to real-world tools, platforms, and mentorship to build the next wave of intelligent autonomous systems.
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are among the most selective and celebrated academic institutions globally. Known for its rigorous curriculum, world-class faculty, and a tradition of producing globally influential alumni, the IITs represent the pinnacle of engineering and technology education in India. Their alumni lead major global enterprises, drive technological revolutions, and contribute to impactful research across fields like AI, robotics, clean energy, and space tech.
The collaboration between Fetch.ai and three IITs is a strategic initiative aimed at transforming how applied AI research is conducted and deployed while inspiring the next generation of AI innovators and entrepreneurs.

At IIT Madras, Fetch.ai is supporting the IIT Madras BS program in establishing the Fetch.ai Innovation Lab, a dedicated AI Agent Club. This student-run club would focus on advanced technologies such as blockchain, decentralized systems, and intelligent autonomous agents. The Lab will provide mentorship, technical resources, and access to Fetch.ai's global initiatives and developer tools.
The Fetch.ai Innovation Lab Student Chapter will be driven by a passion for solving real-world problems using cutting-edge AI tools, and it will receive sustained support for outreach, hackathons, and learning initiatives throughout the academic year.
Furthermore, Fetch.ai is the Prime Sponsor of Paradox 25, IIT Madras BS Degree' flagship techno-cultural festival, where the Innovation Lab will engage with thousands of students through immersive workshops, AI agent showcases, and interactive demos.
At IIT Kanpur, the Innovation Lab will function under the Science and Technology (SnT) Council, acting as a hub for students interested in agent-based models, multi-agent simulations, decentralized machine learning, and blockchain-based AI ecosystems.
