The Superintelligence Alliance is about to take a giant leap forward. With the rapidly expanding interest in decentralized AI, we are now poised to transition our token infrastructure to better support our growth and vision for the future. The cornerstone of this transition is the merger of $FET, $OCEAN, and $AGIX tokens into the newly introduced $ASI token.

Why is the Superintelligence Alliance Needed

Read in our announcement blog about the motivations for forming the Superintelligence Alliance.

The Transition to $ASI: What You Need to Know

In short, we propose to merge $FET, $AGIX and $OCEAN tokens into a brand new 'Artificial Superintelligence' token called $ASI. This change is an essential part of our formation of the Superintelligence Alliance, with $FET transitioning to a new name, $ASI. But, for this to happen, we need your approval through governance proposals set to roll out across our communities. Here's what's happening:

  • Voting on the first of three proposals will begin on Tuesday April 2nd at 13:00 UTC and will remain open for 5 days.

  • Two further governance proposals will be submitted after this vote has concluded to accept both the AGIX and OCEAN ecosystems into the token.

  • Voting across all communities is expected to be finalized by Tuesday April 16th.

How You Can Participate?

Your participation in the voting process is vital. You can access the proposal by logging into your Fetch wallet and navigating to 'More' > 'Proposals' > 'Active' and select the proposal you wish to view. You will be automatically taken to Mintscan to review the proposal. We will also host the proposal on Github. You will need to return back to your wallet to take action. Here's how you can cast your vote:

  • Stake your FET: You will need to be staked to vote. Within your Fetch wallet, navigate to 'Stake' to select a validator and stake your FET.

  • For Users Staked with a Validator: You are free to vote as you please, independent of your validator's stance. Your share of the stake will reflect your personal vote.

  • If you're in Agreement with your Validator's Decision: If you prefer to align with your validator's vote and are aware of their stance, no action is required from your side. Your vote will automatically align with theirs if you don't take any action.

  • For Users Staked Through an Exchange: Check with your exchange for more details on your ability to vote.

Why Your Vote Matters

This process is about steering the direction of our collective future in AI. By voting, you're playing a crucial role in shaping how decentralized, ethical AI evolves.

You can vote in one of four ways: 'Yes', 'No', ' No with Veto' or you can 'abstain'. Let's look at what each of these mean.

  • 'Yes' - you would like to see the proposal go ahead.
  • 'No' - you do not want the proposal to go ahead.
  • 'Abstain'- your vote will be assigned to the winning side.
  • 'No with Veto' - you do not want the proposal go ahead and you would like to block the proposal from returning in the future.

Should the governance proposals be approved, the transition to $ASI will commence, enabling the swap of $FET for $ASI at a 1:1 ratio. Similarly, Ocean Protocol and SingularityNET will provide fixed exchange rates for converting $OCEAN and $AGIX tokens into $ASI. The merged $ASI token is expected to significantly elevate the market presence of the Superintelligence Alliance, projecting a combined value of approximately $7.5 billion and a total token supply of 2.631 billion.
