One of the most significant web updates to ASI:One since launch

We've just rolled out one of the most significant web updates to ASI:One since launch. This release brings a host of architectural upgrades, interface refinements, and under-the-hood enhancements to improve stability, usability, and performance across the board.

This is not just a visual overhaul. It lays the foundation for a more scalable and intelligent chat experience, paving the way for what's next in agentic systems.

Organisation-Level WebSocket Architecture

We've moved to a single WebSocket connection per organization to power all chat activity.

Why it matters:

  • You can now manage multiple chat sessions in parallel without any loss of context.

  • If your browser reloads during a message stream, ASI:One will deliver the message once it completes, no more lost messages.

  • Connections are now lighter and faster across tabs and devices.

  • Real-time delivery is consistent and more efficient.

Notification Enhancements

We've made sure you never miss an important message again.

  • A new notification badge appears on the sidebar and chat icon when there are pending messages.

  • Updates happen in real-time, even when you're navigating across different parts of the app.

Full UI Revamp

The ASI:One interface has been completely redesigned for clarity, speed, and elegance.

What's new:

  • Refreshed color palette

  • Updated chat interface and responsive sidebar

  • Redesigned dashboard, modals, forms, and dropdowns

  • Tooltips now behave more intuitively

  • Button alignment and spacing tightened

  • Chat input has improved responsiveness, with fixes for iOS-specific issues

The entire UI now uses a unified design system: standardized padding, Geist font, border radii, and hover states for a cleaner, more cohesive look.

Chat Engine Overhaul

We've rebuilt the chat system's core logic to be more robust, consistent, and scalable.

  • useChat, useChats, and chatMessages hooks have been refactored for reliable state management

  • Structured messages and @mentions are now fully supported

  • New features include mid-send message aborting and scroll-to-latest-user-message

  • Core components like ChatboxContext, ChannelContext, and MessageContext have been modularised and cleaned up

Backend and Dev Improvements

Behind the scenes, we've implemented several updates to support future scaling:

  • Channel ID validation and agent migration scripts added

  • Async message processing improved with better skip/retry logic

  • Logging and monitoring have been updated for better visibility

  • Unused logs, debuggers, and legacy code removed

Bug Fixes

A long list of persistent bugs have been addressed:

  • Message ordering and persistence now stable

  • iOS input shift fixed

  • Sidebar state is now remembered across sessions

  • Mentions, modals, dropdowns, and tooltips all function as intended

  • Model selection works correctly on initial load for logged-out users

  • Theme switcher, scroll behaviors, and overflow logic are now polished

This release sets the stage for what's next: smarter coordination between users and agents, smoother multi-agent sessions, and real-time intelligence that works wherever you are.
